But I would still recommend this toy, even without the frog. So I feel quite dejected that I haven't heard the cute song. My only complaint is that my niece lost the cute little frog, and from previous reviews a cute song only plays when he is present. I also like how there is a bottom shelf for her to place items on. Each item has a certain number labeled on it that reflects the number of items, such as 1 milk carton and 6 eggs, and the scanner attached to the cart scans the food items and says the number that is listed on it. My daugher is enjoying being able to push a cart around the house like mommy does in the store. I was quite excited to receive it since I never had a grocery cart as a child myself. My 2 year old daughter received this LeapFrog Pretend and Learn Shopping Cart as a hand me down from my sister's five year old daughter. True LeapFrog Pretend and Learn Shopping Cart is too cute for words It may be pricey but really anything by Leapfrog is but it is completely worth it! The toy also tells you where milk comes from as well as a couple of the other food items that cames with the set. My daughter has already learned a couple of the food items that come with the shopping cart. It is just so cute to watch kids play with it. IT will ask for a certain food item and he child has to find them and scan them to win. There are a couple levels and then it also has a game. I bought this for my 18 month old but I have 4 year olds that come over and play with it. There are a couple settings that allow for advanced learning. Not only is this toy addictivly fun (I have played with it many times by myself) it is super educational as children learn about the food and numbers.
